Welcome to Bloomsburys Art Café & Bookshop, the home of great freshly ground coffee, ethically sourced teas, proper homemade cakes and all things art, including local artists’ work, new and used books and records.
Most of all, we are here for you to enjoy as you wish.
Who We Are
The name ‘Bloomsburys’ was inspired by the Bloomsbury Group or Bloomsbury Set as they were sometimes known. They were a group of English writers, intellectuals, philosophers and artists in the early 20th century who were associated with Cambridge University and King’s College London and lived together near Bloomsbury in London.
Bloomsburys Art Café & bookshop is a hub for the neighbourhood where people can meet, eat, drink and enjoy and/or purchase a good book, record or piece of art from a local artist.
What We Do
The Book Nook
We have an extensive range of books, both new and used, including the latest releases and bestsellers, as well as preloved books available at a fraction of the original price. You are even welcome to choose a used book, sit with a great coffee, perhaps a piece of cake, and enjoy a good read without purchasing the book if you wish!
Our range includes children’s books, fiction, non-fiction and everything in between.
The Music Lover
We love music and for those of you who do too we have a dedicated area in store where you can browse, listen to and purchase a good record. We have a range of around 1,500 records and growing for you to choose from, and again, same rules apply as with the books, you are more than welcome to purchase food and drink from the coffee shop and while away your time listening to your record of choice!
The Art Studio
We are working with a number of local artists who will proudly display their work for all to enjoy! Each piece will have a price attached, so if you see something you love and think it would look great in your home, or make a great gift, it can be purchased in store.
